On the 17th of July Justin & Liam took some of our clients to a property seminar in Echuca. Brian Lewis from Pacific Eastcoast spoke about National Rental Affordability Scheme or NRAS, a government initiative to get investors to purchase property in areas where rental prices are high with often low vacancy rates. Becoming an attractive investment opportunity for investors to add to their portfolios, or the mum and dad investor wanting to start out in the property investing scene. NRAS properties attract approximately $9,981 back each year in the way of tax offsets as well as government contributions for a ten year period. In return, the investor is to offer the property at 20% less than the market rental amount.
Brian spent some time displaying current projects that Pacific East Coast have on offer which are linked to NRAS as well as cashflow projections and the capital required to make the investment a positively geared investment.
